This piece of history captured on camera by Bernie Boston in 1967 in the Pentagon, Washington DC, is the representation of love and the struggle to live life, of how to cling to it even if it implies the sacrifice of one's existence.
In this picture you can see how a mass of people are expressing their disagreement with the Vietnam War, and their country's involvement in it. All around the image are armed soldiers who are cutting off anti-war activists to try to disband the demonstration. The activists, who are on the right side of the image are led by the boy wearing a long-necked sweater, he is carrying the torch of the image with the flowers he is putting on the rifles of the military.
War has many facets, so when it is represented different perspectives arise as war is a very broad concept and as such has different interpretations and therefore although the word itself has a negative meaning is the source of inspiration of art, art could not demand if there were no inequality.
